DESIGN and how it relates to the housing industry and the effects it has to our homestyles has many intricate facets, technical needs and unique disciplines. These disciplines such as civil design (interlinked with urban planning), architecture (also known as building design) with their technical counterparts; structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical subjects combined with the health and safety aspect of fire protection discipline, come together to satisfy our social and cultural needs and preferences. These cultural and social distinct tastes ignite our appetite for interior design, which in turn expands the challenge of our habitat to coexist within our surrounding environment which in turn challenges the emergence of enhancing landscaped developments and improvements.
It is with these thoughts and disciplines we work with our properties and buildings along with their related design resources to achieve our dreams, desires, enhancements and technological discoveries. We search to find the ultimate creative balance (similar to Feng Shui, yin/yang, etc.) ("form over function and/or function over form") in making our single family properties and buildings become our own customized dwellings that we call home!

DESIGN: (As defined in Wikipedia - the free encyclopedia - at the time of writing.) Design, usually considered in the context of the applied arts, engineering, architecture, and other such creative endeavors, is used as both a noun and a verb. "Design" as refers to the process of originating and developing a plan for a new object (machine, building, product, etc.). As a noun, "design" is used for the final plan or proposal (a drawing, model, or other description), of the result of implementing that plan or proposal (the object produced).
Designing normally requires considering aesthetic, functional, and many other aspects of an object which usually requires considerable research, thought, modeling, interactive adjustment and re-design.
Design as a process can take many forms depending on the object being designed and the individual or individuals participating.
In philosophy, the abstract noun "design" refers to pattern, or to purpose/purposefulness (or teleology). Design is thus contrasted with purposelessness, randomness, or lack of complexity.
