Building Design

BUILDING DESIGN and Architecture with their participants as they relate to single family dwelling properties and buildings require thoughtful creativity, competent technical knowledge, in addition to complete organized development relevant to the vision of the project's objective.
Building Design and Architecture must be creative in the fashion that dreams, ideas and client's desires (in whatever form) should come to life upon their conceptual preliminary presentations and composition; technical in nature so as to utilize current methods and procedures from a multitude of products and services within the building industry (such as civil, structural, fire protective, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, interior and landscape components); and to integrate them in an orderly manner to deliver understandable technical construction drawings, details and appropriate documentations for the standard of accurately preparing budgets/estimates, bidding and tendering processes for the acquisition of appropriate approvals (as they relate to zoning, building code bylaws etc...). This is done for the ultimate purpose of the construction and building realization of the project's original intent.
Participants within the field come with various levels of expertise, knowledge and experiences. These participants will range from the junior to intermediate draftspersons, design-build contractors, home planning service centers, Building Designers to Architects.
You will find a variety or services in dealing with your property and building design requirements; from basic drafting services to pre-designed (ready made) stock home plans, modifications to stock plans, renovation and alteration to existing homes, customized home plan services, plus detailing and documentation specification writing, along with budget estimating bidding and tendering support and approval and permit processing assistance.
It is advisable to meet with the appropriate consultant to ensure they are providing you the service which best reflects your particular project needs and intent.

Definitions
BUILDING DESIGN: (As defined in Wikipedia - the free encyclopedia - at the time of writing.) Building Design is the design of architectural exterior/interior spaces, engineered elements and sheltered design. A building designer, architect, or building engineer may produce designs for all types of buildings in small projects while larger projects will often need other engineers and consultants in structural, mechanical and electrical engineering. As building projects are getting larger and more complex, modern trends in building design need professionals trained broadly in many disciplines.
DESIGN/BUILD (D/B): (As defined in Wikipedia - the free encyclopedia - at the time of writing.) Design/Build (D/B) is a construction project delivery system used to reduce the project delivery time by overlapping the design phase and construction phase of a project.
ARCHITECTURE: (As defined in Wikipedia - the free encyclopedia - at the time of writing.) Architecture (from Latin, architectura and ultimately from Greek αρχίτετλτωύ, "a master builder" from αρχί "chief, leader" and τετλτωύ, "builder, carpenter") is the art and science of designing buildings and structures.
DRAFTSPERSON: (As defined in Wikipedia - the free encyclopedia - at the time of writing.) A Draftsperson or Documenter is someone who has completed a certificate of diploma in drafting, and is generally employed in a drafting office or architectural firm. Initially they begin as a trainee, doing odd jobs in the office, and drawing up working drawings (floor plans/elevations/sections) from sketch plans of designs generally designed by those higher up in the ranks. As they work their way up and develop more experience, they eventually become a draftsperson (sometime known as a documenter). The type of work involved at this level can be anything from design to the documentation of the projects. A draftsperson is generally someone who is not a registered building designer, and who works under one. Some draftspersons, after gaining a few years experience, will proceed to become a registered building designer, and either become self employed, or start their own drafting office.
